Brisket was not good ! Mac and cheese is sooo delicious , chicken is good

The tips could've been a bit more tender but their tips are very meaty! Sauce is goodt! Yeah I said goodt!

This place is in a small plaza near a high school, they offer a great after school special which is nice idea. They have alot of food places around them so that helps their foot traffic... The prices are ok for the food and it does take time for your order.. Macaroni and cheese wasn't very good was end of batch or over cooked. So I give 3 🌟🌟🌟

Sunday Dinner For 2 weeks in a row on Sunday we’ve gotten dinners , a family of 4 so we all get something different. Overall the food was delicious both weeks however this week we were rather disappointed. My husband and I got the turkey wing part, it was delicious but Big Daddy the drum portion was the size of a chicken drumsticks. I would suggest if the turkey portions are that small then give the whole wing??? The dinners aren’t cheap and we don’t mind the price but at least take my suggestion under consideration. Would I recommend, yes and will be back, but just be fair.

Hammond location is nothing like Gary. My food today was terrible. I got the thursday special (tip/fry) and small mac & cheese. My mac was burnt and hard. Grease was in the bottom of the tip box. The sauce taste different. Never in Gary.

My favorite place for ribs in Indiana! I like that they always answer the phone to take carryout orders (some of y'all know what I'm talking about) and they are relatively quick to have food ready. The sauce is good but the fries are trash tho.

I had a turkey leg and it was Outstanding! Generally when you go to most places, especially near the end of the day, the turkey legs are either dry or mushy.... This turkey leg tasted fresh like it was just cooked! And the leg itself was Gigantic!! Great grub and inexpensive too!! Great Job Big Daddy's!!

I have lived in the Hammond/Gary area for almost 9 years and never had Big Daddy's BBQ. I was thrilled to learn of a Hammond location and had to try it out!! It was AMAZING!!! The meat was tender, and I love the pineapples in the sauce!! Definitely a new touch to the bbq sauces I'm used to. I'll be back...

Really good BBQ! Amazing turkey tips, rib tips were great as well and the hubby loved the hot links. Clean and very nice staff. Can't go wrong here. Thanks for the great BBQ. Really, starting to enjoy Indiana. Low key good eats!!! 😏

The wait was fine because everything was fresh and hot the tops were good just needed to be cut a little smaller. The young lady taking the order has excellent customer service will definitely be going again

The food at big daddy's use to be good. The service is slow and has always been slow. The thing that gets this place 2 stars is the fact that the old man did not use gloves while fixing orders. He stacked on this guys brisket meat with his bare hands!!! The worst part is he tossed it in the microwave to warm it up before giving it to him. After seeing this I left as well as 2 other customers. Will never come back.

Ordered a bucket of rib tips & asked for the fries to be put in a separate tray & no barbeque sauce on the fries! Guy behind cooking is gonna yell he gonna have to pay .50 separate for that tray . So we did but he still put sauce all over fries not to mention he was rude! Don't think we will give them another try or recommend them! Not happy at all!🙄

I went there on the recommendation of a friend. I was not impressed unfortunately. The meat was fatty and everything was overly drenched in BBQ sauce. The sauce was good for what it's worth.

Okay Big Daddy's I like their barbecue sauce it's great I always stop in they have a special if I'm not mistaken for 4 bucks on Thursdays rib tips fries and bread can't beat that I usually grab two or three share with the family sometimes I grab an extra one just so I can eat the next day other than that the prices are reasonable I think on a day-to-day basis its regular price is somewhere around $6 but I stopped in time to time grab myself some rib tips they're always fresh soft not hard not dried out like some places and just the sauce on the fries are like heaven great place to stop in and enjoy some good barbecue stop in today

I ordered a half slab of ribs which were dry, very overcooked to the point of tough. I can believe they would serve such horrible meat.

This place has some of the best BBQ in town, and I have made it a point to check out many in the area. My helping was enough for two meals and I am not a small person. Very friendly staff that is rightly proud of their great BBQ

Had a very good experience in here with my kid. The food arrives quick and the customer service is just good. Prices are affordable.

Orded ribs t I p they did not taate of grill but boiled and weak watered sauce pull over them.french fries turned to mush with so much sauce. The sauce was not tasty all.meat was also tough like old weeds.great deal phat was also on this cut of meat. need get back to basic they get away with do lack of barbeque place in the area and most don't know what really good good is

Barbeque is very good, some sides - not so much

They dont answer the phone for orders regularly. They take all day in line. But there's a reason that little store be packed. My tip is blow up there phone and give them an extra 25 minutes before u leave out in order to save time with the long lines. Other than that they have great food. Wish the customer service was better

Too inconsistent. They have been more disgusting than good. Don't order chicken, it's under cooked. The links are dried out. The ribs are or miss. Their pops are good!

If you get a chance taste this food you won't be disappointed.

used to be the best barbecue place in town but big daddy lost interest and now he has everything contracted out and hired out he does not cook his own food anymore and the Hammond location is nowhere near as good as the Gary location. In addition to that the wait times are outrageous especially on holidays I used to love this restaurant and I wish I could give it a better review.

Got a pull pork sandwich. I had more fat then meat. It was a younger crew when I went. Never have issue with food when the older lady is there.

This location is nothing like the Gary location. My ribs were burnt with sauce on them. The cook cane to the counter to buy movies and donuts, then went right back to touching ribs. Smh

Twice now, different occasions, new workers have been the reason for my late work arrival. My food was ready, but they get preoccupied easy. If you're in a hurry, expect a bit of a wait, especially during rush hour.

I was literally on my way to order. I changed my mind because the girl on the phone has a horrible attitude. Having black owned restaurants is slim to none around here. Can we at least try to give the other establishments some competition!! Been supporting this place for awhile and now im going somewhere else. I will travel for good service!

We are always happy with anything we order from big daddys. And the staff is always friendly to us and help us try new items everytime we visit.

Now THIS location is awesome; keep up the good work guys!! That Gary location is TRASH, from the workers to the food, yuck.

Deliciously moist tasting food, with evenly balanced seasoning added to whet your appetite. Friendly, courteous staff. Orders filled promptly. So glad my granddaughter introduced me to Big Daddy's.
